Nicalis signs on to publish retro throwback The '90s Arcade Racer on iOS and Android

You may know California-based indie developer and publisher Nicalis from such 3DS games as VVVVVV and Cave Story.

If not, well, you do now.

Anyways, this well-regarded studio has just announced an exciting partnership with Pelikan13.

To wit, Nicalis will publish Pelikan13's - a.k.a. professional game artist Antonis Pelekanos - successfully Kickstarter-funded game The '90s Arcade Racer.

Jump-started

Originally only planned for the PC, Linux, and Mac, The '90s Arcade Racer will now roar onto iOS and Android thanks to this new partnership with Nicalis.

As mentioned up there (yep, right there), The '90s Arcade Racer is the brainchild of Antonis Pelekanos, who has assisted on Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, so should know a thing or two about driving games.

"Working with Nicalis, we can release on more platforms, including Wii U," Pelekanos acknowledges.

"Nicalis will also support with Unity programming, physics, tuning, and general design and production of the game."
