A whopping 53 games across 17 different categories have been nominated for accolades at this year's BAFTA Games Awards.

With echoes of last year's event, the Mobile and Handheld section of this year's BAFTA awards is chock-full of Pocket Gamer Award-winning titles.

BAFTA nominees Incoboto, New Star Soccer, and The Room all bagged shiny Gold Awards at review from us, while Super Monsters Ate My Condo, The Walking Dead: The Game, and LittleBigPlanet PS Vita all nabbed Silver Awards.

Wide variety

Several mobile and handheld titles are up for awards in other categories, too.

Fireproof Games's The Room, for example, is in the running for a total of four awards, including awards for Artistic Achievement, Best British Game, and Best Debut Game.

Other mobile games up for awards include Super Hexagon, which is competing for Best British Game; Beat Sneak Bandit, which is up for an Audio Achievement award; and Clay Jam, which is in contention for a Family award.
