Alien Breed coming to Google Play and Amazon App Store this week
Hot alien on Android action
22 years after its initial Amiga release, the classic top-down shooter Alien Breed will gun its way onto Android this week.
Team17 announced via its Facebook page that the game will launch on Tuesday, February 12 simultaneously on Google Play and the Amazon App store for £2.99 / $4.99.
The Pocket Gamer Silver Award-winning retro shooter stormed onto iOS this past August and was well received for its controls, gameplay, and traditional (read: challenging) difficulty.
Twin sticks of fury
Like the iOS version before it, Alien Breed for Android will offer players the option to toggle between Classic Mode and Enhanced Mode.
Classic Mode allows players to enjoy the original graphics, music, and controls of the Amiga release while Enhanced Mode offers enhanced visuals, controls, and a remastered soundtrack.
Additionally, the Android version of Alien Breed will support Gree leaderboards and awards and offer players four new levels on top of the original six Alien Breed stages.
