Red Winter Software reveals the first image of roguelike sequel Dungelot 2
Treasure hunt
Red Winter Software has released an image from the upcoming sequel to tile-flipping fantasy roguelike Dungelot.
Dungelot, which debuted on Android and iOS earlier this year, is a casual interpretation of the merciless roguelike formula.
In Dungelot, you explore randomly generated dungeons by tapping tiles on a 6x5 grid. When flipped, each tile reveals either treasure, a trap, or a monster.
We enjoyed Dungelot's randomised dungeons and accessible mechanics, believing it to be "the ideal taster course to the genre".
Keep 'em guessingNow, mere weeks after Dungelot's launch, Red Winter Software has taken to Facebook to reveal the first screenshot from Dungelot 2.
As you can see from this side-by-side comparison below, the Red Winter team is aiming for a slightly more realistic look in Dungelot 2 than the one in its cartoony predecessor.

Despite the enhanced visuals and wonky spelling of 'wizard', though, the Dungelot experience in this new image looks very much like the Dungelot we know and love.
We reckon, however, that - like the tiles themselves - there's more to Dungelot 2 than meets the eye. We look forward to uncovering more about this upcoming sequel in the near future.
