Impossible Studios shut down, Infinity Blade Dungeons on hold

That can't be, it's impossible!

Impossible Studios shut down, Infinity Blade Dungeons on hold

Back in October, we thought the delay of Infinity Blade Dungeons would be the worst thing to happen to the game.

Now, we've learned that we were wrong: the game being put on hold due to the closure of Impossible Studios is, perhaps, the worst thing to happen to the game.

Gamespot reports that Epic Games has shuttered the US-based Impossible Studios and that Infinity Blade Dungeons is now on hold.

Impossible is nothing

The closure is hard luck for iOS gamers eager to see Infinity Blade Dungeons released, but it's a worse blow for the developers at Impossible Studios who formed the shop when Big Huge Games closed in May of 2012.

Now, six months after founding Impossible Studios, the developers are once again out of work.

Epic's found Tim Sweeney did not cite a specific reason for the closure of Impossible Studios past a stating that "…ultimately, it wasn't working out for Epic."

We'll be sure to keep you updated on the status of Infinity Blade Dungeons as soon as we learn more.
