Be Together is, as you might expect, a game about joining two disparate souls together in a brief, heart-warming reunion. Rather than match-making the old-fashioned way, though, you're using simple physics puzzles to push the two blobby, colourful creatures together.

Of course, the path of true love never does run smoothly, so there are plenty of obstacles and problems to overcome before you can join the pudgy stars together.

Physical togetherness

Each level gives you a number of props to use to manoeuvre the lovers together. You might get a banana-shaped platform, for example, that you need to position at the end of a curved ramp to make sure a rolling creature gets enough of a leap to cross a chasm.

As the game progresses things get more fiendish though, with portals, sweets that make you fat and floaty, and little imps who, if unimpeded, will carry you to the top of the level and then drop you back down again in a straight line.

Moving things around the screen is as simple as dragging them with a finger, and a 'reset' button quickly puts your creatures back where they started. It also leaves you a dotted line to see the paths they took last time around so that you can work out where you went wrong.

There are three stars you need to collect to get the highest score on each level, too. They're also used to unlock new levels, so it's worth having another go at something if you only managed to pick up a single star the first time around.

Pulled apart

There are 60 levels to work your way through, as well as several bonus levels that you unlock by finding secret items as you play. There's certainly a decent chunk of content, and it's all good fun, but there's nothing particularly special about the design of each of the stages.

Be Together is enjoyable, and there are some levels that'll have you scratching your head, but too often you'll find the perfect solution straight away, and none of the set-pieces it presents you with is especially memorable.

This is a game that's entertaining while you play it, but - much like a drunken resolution to get out there and meet more people - you'll have forgotten about it come the next morning.

Be Together

An entertaining little puzzler, Be Together doesn't quite have the style or the ingenuity to be a must-buy
