Disney France PR representative teases a Feb 27th release for Temple Run: Oz the Great and Powerful

According to a tweet by Disney France PR representative Cecile Fouques, the House of Mouse is working on a new Temple Run spin-off game.

If Fouques's tweet is to be believed, the spin-off will be called Temple Run: Oz the Great and Powerful, and will be released on February 27th.

This would naturally be based on Disney's forthcoming Oz the Great and Powerful movie, which is due to hit cinemas in North America on March 8th.

Anyway, that's all we know. We don't have any gameplay details and Fouques's tweet didn't mention platforms.

It's pretty safe to assume, though, that Temple Run: Oz the Great and Powerful will be an endless-runner in which you swipe your iOS- or Android-powered smartphone to turn corners, duck under obstacles, and pick up collectibles.

This, of course, isn't the first time indie developer Imangi Studios and Disney have teamed up on a mobile game.

The pair released Temple Run: Brave (pictured above) back in June 2012.
