This year's Best App Ever Awards, the annual celebration of the best iOS games and apps, looks on course to become the biggest and most popular consumer iOS app awards yet seen.

The awards, run by sister site 148Apps and sponsored by new app discovery platform FreeAppSlots.com, received a record number of nominations (over 710,000) and has attracted well over 3 million votes since the start of the year.

Awards founder Jeff Scott is understandably excited by the figures: "We're really pleased to announce that Best App Ever has just crossed the 3 million total votes mark for the 890 nominated apps (across the 114 award categories)."

There's one week left to vote on the site before the voting is closed ahead of the awards presentation on February 25th at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

If you want to cast your vote, you can head over to BestAppEver.com or engage with the discussion of Best App Ever on Facebook or Twitter.
