Trance-inducing twitch puzzler Super Hexagon has escaped the confines of the App Store and is now weaving between walls on Android devices.

Super Hexagon is retro gaming icon Terry Cavanagh's (creator of VVVVVV) latest gem, offering - as it does - a bewitching combination of 8-bit vector visuals and simple yet fiercely addictive gameplay.

Boot up Super Hexagon and you will find yourself in charge of a small triangle hovering in orbit around a geometric planet located at the centre of the screen.

You must move this triangle left and right to dodge waves of incoming barriers, all of which are being sucked inexorably towards the hexagonal planet.

Think it sounds easy? Well, think again.

Super Hexagon's merciless difficulty curve has been driving iPhone and iPad owners out of their minds for the past five months.

Why are we recommending it, then? Because it's stripped-down, bare-bones gaming at its ferociously addictive best.

Granted, you'll spend most of the first 20 goes dying within ten seconds. But, 50 'one-last-tries' later, and you'll realise that you too have been caught in Super Hexagon's gravitational pull.

You can buy Super Hexagon from Google Play for the introductory price of 59p / 99c. We suggest you do just that.
