Fire Emblem: Awakening receiving bundle in North America, includes flashy 3DS

Nintendo of America took to Twitter recently to announce that a special edition Fire Emblem: Awakening 3DS bundle would make its way to the US and Canada to celebrate the game's release.

While having Fire Emblem: Awakening pre-installed as part of the bundle is a nice touch, the real draw to the bundle is the system itself.

Identical to the special edition 3DS that rolled out in Japan with the game’s release almost a year ago, the bundle includes a Cobalt Blue 3DS emblazoned with a rather striking Fire Emblem graphic on its cover.

It's worth keeping in mind that as striking as the new 3DS is, the unit included is a standard 3DS and not the larger 3DS XL.

Nintendo of America has yet to announce any specifics of the bundle - namely its price or availability - but we know that is should be out soon as Fire Emblem: Awakening is due out stateside on February 4.

For Fire Emblem fans in Europe, the game has a release window of "April 2013". There has been no announcement by Nintendo of Europe as to if or when this Bundle will make its way Europe.
