The quality of the new releases on the 3DS eShop this week varies wildly, I must say.

I mean, there are some okayish releases, sure, but then there's also a large number of questionable ones.

American 3DS gamers, in particular, will find themselves sifting through a heap of strange material, while we Europeans have a couple of good (but not great) new titles to consider.

Anyway, let's get on with the show...

European eShop releases

Rejoice! European 3DS enthusiasts finally get to try out Fractured Soul, a dual platforming game split across both screens.

The key is to keep shifting your character from one screen to the other, dodging around baddies and making sure you keep both versions of your hero safe. Read our review if you wanna know more about this game.

The European 3DS eShop is also now stocking Blaster Master. Originally released for the NES in 1988, this is a run-and-gun title in which you take down enemies from two different camera perspectives.

If you've never given it a play before, it's well worth a look. Its price tag reads £4.49.

US eShop releases

There is a ton of fresh downloadable 3DS releases this week in your eShop, American citizens. However, it's unlikely that you'll want to pick many of them up.

Yes, Hello Kitty Picnic with Sanrio Friends IS the real name of a game. It's a retail game, but there's also a downloadable version. We don't have the price to hand, but, hey, that's probably not the important bit here.

Natsume's Reel Fishing 3D Paradise Mini MAY be slightly more interesting than the Sanrio Friends, though. So, reel those fishies in! Beat the locals at their own game! And so on.

Oh, and then there's Wild Adventures: Ultimate Deer Hunt 3D. Goodness me, this hunting game looks really awful. It costs $3.99. Words fail me.

The horror continues...

101 DinoPets 3D is a game about adopting and loving dinosaurs. Okay, okay, that actually sounds kind of awesome. Hand over $4.99, and it's - sorry, they're - all yours.

And that's about it. So ends the week of insanity. Can we get some better titles next week please, Nintendo 3DS developers? Thanks.
