Great news, Android fans who sure play a mean pinball: Zen Pinball for 'droids is now playable on a number of non-Tegra devices.

To explain.

Previously listed on Google Play as Zen Pinball THD, this Tegra-optimised enhanced version of Zen Studios's popular multi-platform pinball game was until, well, now only available to Android users with the swankiest of tablets and handsets.

Now, 'droid gamers can flick high-resolution balls around their moderately powerful Samsung Galaxy S II in Zen Pinball, rather than having to reach for their high-spec Nexus 7 or Transformer tab.

In celebration of this marvellous update, every table in the game - including the Marvel-themed superhero tables - is on sale for 69p / 99c. The dev is also giving you the Sorcerer's Lair table for free. Magic.

In the newly updated Zen Pinball for Android, you have the option to switch between two visual settings: a mode for Tegra devices and another tailored to 'standard' Android handsets.

Here is the list of compatible Android devices:

Handsets: Motorola Atrix, LG Optimus 2X, Samsung Galaxy Note, HTC One X, Samsung Galaxy S II. Tablets: Asus Nexus 7, Acer Iconia Tab A500, Asus Transformer TF 101, Asus Transformer TF 201, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, Motorola Xoom.

If you see your phone or slate in either of the above lists, you can download the newly rebranded free-to-play game Zen Pinball HD from Google Play now.
