Get to know the powers of all the Angry Birds Star Wars characters

You know their names, you know their place in the Star Wars fiction, but what exactly are Luke, Han, Obi Wan, and the rest doing in Rovio's latest Angry Birds title?

Never fear: we've gathered up everything we know about these Angry Birds Star Wars characters and put them into one handy little article.

Here it is.

Han Solo and Chewbacca

The former is the man everyone wants to be, the man every woman wants to be with. Han Solo fires lasers from his blaster to destroy Imperial Forces and their structures.

Next to him is his best pal Chewie, co-pilot of the Millennium Falcon and a really heavy chap by all accounts. His biggest asset is his aforementioned size and his irresistible forward momentum.

R2-D2 and C-3PO

Sci-fi's foremost double act, end of.

The twitchy but polite C-3PO explodes on command, sending shards of metal flying at hapless Stormtroopers.

R2-D2, meanwhile, has a jolt of electricity up his 'sleeve', with which he can zap opponents and break through large defences.

Obi Wan and Darth Vader

Though the heavy-breathing Sith henchman Lord Vader isn't a playable character in Angry Birds Star Wars, his mentor, rival, and archnemesis Obi-Wan most definitely is.

Mr Kenobi's got a force push on hand to send nearby objects through the air, preferably into unsuspecting Tusken Raiders.

Luke and Leia

Lastly, there's the pair at the centre of the biggest 'will they, won't they, I hope they don't' storyline in movie history.

Luke wields the iconic lightsaber, batting away incoming blaster fire and cutting through structures like they were made out of paper. And he had scissors.

Leia, meanwhile, possesses a tractor beam. This means she can pull objects towards her, e.g. lift the leg of (and consequently topple) an imposing AT-AT.
