5 features we want to see in Angry Birds Star Wars

Angry Birds Star Wars is packed full of our favourite characters from George Lucas's infamous faraway galaxy, lightsaber-wielding birdies, and enough midi-chlorians to sink a small starship.

There are plenty of other Star Wars-themed features we'd love to see in Rovio's latest Angry Birds instalment, though.

Here are five of them...

Hyperdrive technology

Wouldn't it be great if you could utilise hyperdrive technology to transport your Force-infused birdies around each stage? We think it would.

You could use this technology to take out any piggies that are hiding their cowardly backsides behind impenetrable obstacles.

Force Throw

Secondly, we'd love our birds to possess some more of the many Jedi powers that we've come to love over the years. Force Push is a decent start, but I'm a greedy gamer.

We'd especially like to see Force Throw. With this power, your birds could fling piggies using just their mind (and a cool hand gesture. Possibly).

Thermal detonator

A thermal detonator, in case you're not familiar with the Star Wars galaxy, is a grenade-like explosive device that's extremely popular among military personnel, mercenaries, and bounty hunters.

Imagine how cool it'd be if your birdies could drop these onto unsuspecting piggies and watch them fry (like bacon) as they fly towards their true targets.

Extra support

If you stumble across a particularly difficult stage in Angry Birds Star Wars, you can call the Millennium Falcon into battle and watch as it lays waste to your pork-flavoured foes.

We'd also love to be able to call upon squadrons of X-Wing fighters, groups of LAATs, and whole fleets of N-1 starships.

Easter eggs

No, not actual easter eggs. We mean hidden messages and jokes related to the Star Wars movies and the franchise's expanded universe.

We're talking Golden Egg-esque hidden collectibles, clever nods to the franchise in the game's scenery, and more.
