Asus has confirmed the release of a 32GB version of its popular Nexus 7 tablet.

As of today (4:30pm to be precise), prospective tablet owners can purchase a wi-fi only Nexus 7 with 32GB of internal storage for £199 - the same price that a 16GB would have cost you yesterday.

In the wake of the new iteration, the 16GB model has been reduced to the £159 price point previously occupied by the 8GB model. The 8GB model, meanwhile, is "no longer available for sale".

If you're willing to hang on for a couple of weeks, however, you can have a 32GB Nexus 7 with 3G support. Google Play is listing the unlocked model at £239, but we understand that it will be also be available from Three.co.uk, with tariffs and exact release dates to be confirmed soon.

We were big fans of the Nexus 7 when it first appeared, and gave it a Pocket Gamer Gold Award for being swell. Now it has more space, we suspect we will love it all the more.
