Sega has revealed that arcade favourite Crazy Taxi is set to come skidding onto Android devices in the not-too-distant future.

Released on iPhone and iPad yesterday, this reckless racer has been driving Apple customers wild with its late '90s soundtrack and compete disregard for the Green Cross Code.

Now, the folks over at Sega have given Android users something to look forward to, promising that Crazy Taxi will be collecting fares from Google Play "soon".

As you can see from the Crazy Taxi launch trailer (above), you have to guide a yellow cab around a San Francisco-like city, picking up punters and delivering them to a location of their choice.

There is a time limit on each fare, so you will be working against the clock to get your passenger to the drop-off point.

Fans of the Crazy Taxi series will be pleased to read that, unlike the recent home console versions, this iteration contains the full original soundtrack in all its punk rock glory.

We'll let you know when we have a confirmed release date for the Android version.
