Tone Sphere
By Bit192 Labs - download for iPhone and iPad

Bit192 Labs describes Tone Sphere as a "360 rhythm action experience", but don't worry: it's not as complex as that makes it sound.

In truth, the game involves little more than tapping and swiping groups of circles in time to over 20 songs (which range from progressive house and dubstep to the downright weird).

Tone Sphere is Game Center enabled, and has an online leaderboard for every track in the game.

Carota!
By Matthew Herz - download for iPhone and iPad

Carota! is a puzzle-adventure with an appealing 16-bit sheen. In the game, you guide a white rabbit across ravines and other death traps by rotating the path blocks ahead of it.

The rabbit - called Thaddeus the Cabbit - is constantly moving, so you have to think fast and plan ahead if you want to make it through the game's 50 levels.

There are Game Center- AND OpenFeint-supported achievements on offer here, but it's Carota's off-kilter sense of humour that ends up leaving the biggest impression.
