Yesterday, Apple released iOS 6, the latest iteration of its über-popular mobile operating system.

Today, the iPhone Dev-Team announced that you can now jailbreak it. Sort of.

This now-infamous team of tamperers has managed to get its redsn0w tethered iOS 6 jailbreak working with some of Apple's A4-powered handsets (namely, the iPhone 3GS, the iPhone 4, and the fourth-gen iPod touch).

We doubt you'll see Cydia running on an iOS 6-powered iPhone 4S or iPhone 5 for a good few weeks, but this is definitely a step in the right direction for those who want to 'fully' customise their smartphone.

As always, jailbreaking your device will probably incur the wrath of Tim Cook and his minions, and void your device's warranty. There's a handy tutorial on the Redmond Pie website if you're still interested, though.
