PS3 port Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus 2 heading to PS Vita in 2013

You won't see it coming

PS3 port Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus 2 heading to PS Vita in 2013

At a pre-Tokyo Game Show keynote, Tecmo and Team Ninja have announced that Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus 2 will be heading to PS Vita in early 2013.

And that's, uh, about all there is to go on. Officially.

It's probably a port of gory PS3 brawler Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, which in turn was a port of gory Xbox 360 brawler Ninja Gaiden II. A port of a port, then.

That doesn't bode very well - we weren't all that impressed with the last Gaiden game on Vita: port-of-a-port Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus. We said that "the controls in Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus don't feel tight enough at all", then moaned about the "truly awful camera" in our 6/10 review.

Clash of Clans

Team Ninja head Yosuke Hayashi announced the Vita follow-up at a conference for cel-shaded zombie-slasher Ninja Gaiden Z, which is heading to the big-boy consoles next year.

According to Eurogamer, who attended the event, "there's a Ninja Gaiden also coming to mobile phones." The site says it's called Ninja Gaiden Clans, it's out in Japan tomorrow, and it's a card battler-cum-action game.

There's an awfully good chance the site is actually talking about Mobage's Ninja Gaiden card battler-cum-action game, which was revealed a few months back.
