Acclaimed RPG Lunar: Silver Star Story landing on iOS this week
Dragonmasters: unite
The iOS port of critically acclaimed RPG Lunar: Silver Star Story will hit the App Store later this week.
Lunar was originally released on the Sega Mega CD back in 1992, and its beautifully animated cutscenes and top-notch script (penned by novelist Kei Shigema) helped to earn it a place in the heart of JRPG fans everywhere.
The iOS version - entitled Lunar: Silver Star Story Touch - will actually be based on the 1999 PSX remake, which featured remastered cutscenes and updated graphics.
In Lunar: Silver Star Story Touch, you follow the tale of Alex, an aspiring warrior type who longs to be a Dragonmaster like his hero Dyne.
Spurred into action by his friend Ramus, his stepsister Luna, and a peculiar feline creature called Nall, Alex sets off on a quest filled with magic, monsters, and turn-based combat (natch).
There's no word yet on pricing, but developer SoMoGa does say Lunar: Silver Star Story Touch will be available "for iOS platforms... later this week".
