Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition won't be hitting the App Store this month
November is the new September
If, like I, you've been eagerly awaiting the arrival of Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition, you'll be extremely disappointed to read that you won't be getting your mitts on it this month. Bummer.
"After recently reviewing the game and then consulting with our partners, we've decided to ensure that Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition is the best possible product on launch. Thus, we have pushed back the release date of the game," Trent Oster, Overhaul Games's president, revealed on the game's official message board.
"To all who have pre-ordered, we ask for your patience as we move toward our final release date - and we will be working on something a little extra for you."
While the delay is a little saddening, it's nice to see a developer wanting to polish its game before it hits the market. It's not uncommon, after all, to see devs rush products out of the door and then rely on post-release patches to clean up the mess.
Anyway, Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition will hit the App Store on November 30th, complete with new characters, areas, graphics, and even story.
