King of Dragon Pass's quest to conquer the iPad is nearly at an end

Universal version due tomorrow

King of Dragon Pass's quest to conquer the iPad is nearly at an end

As promised by its creator last November, cult strategy-RPG King of Dragon Pass is expanding its influence beyond the borders of the iPhone, with an iPad-compatible version due to conquer the App Store sometime tomorrow.

A port of the 1999 PC title of the same name, this genre mash-up was infamous for its ingenious - and challenging - combination of classic RPG elements, Civ-style strategy, and resource management.

At first glance, King of Dragon Pass's exhaustive instruction manual and complex multitasking demands might cause some iOS users to pass on its fantastical charms.

However, push on past the tutorial and you will find a rich adventure which isn't afraid to put your leadership, bartering, and strategic abilities to the test.

A quest like no other

Due to the game's depth and the sheer number of random events peppered throughout - all of which have a bearing on your campaign - no two playthroughs will be the same.

Featuring an all-new interface designed specifically for the iPad (and some visual updates for iPhone), the new Universal version of King of Dragon Pass will be available for download tomorrow for £6.99 / $9.99.
