Now Apple is suing Samsung over the Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note, too

In case you were asleep last month, Samsung took a bit of a blow when Apple won a lengthy legal battle against it. I say a 'bit of a blow', but I actually mean an absolute pummeling.

This pummeling includes a fine of $1.049 billion and the threat of a ban on the Galaxy S II smartphone and Galaxy Tab slate in the US.

It would appear that Apple isn't quite finished with Sammy yet, mind.

One more round

You see, Apple actually has another lawsuit on the go against Samsung in the US. In this suit, which was originally filed in February 2012, Apple argued that a range of Samsung products infringe a number of its software patents.

In a recently amended complaint, however, Apple has added Samsung's latest flagship phone, the Galaxy S III, and the Galaxy Note to its list of infringing devices in this case.

The iPhone maker claims that it is suffering irreparable harm because of Samsung's violation of its patents.

According to Apple, Samsung has "continued to flood the market with copycat products", even putting out the Galaxy S III before the abovementioned broader Apple vs Samsung lawsuit had been settled.
