Game Boy puzzler Kirby's Star Stacker will make its eShop debut this Thursday when it drops onto the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console.

Released way back in 1997, the game involves matching falling blocks to clear the screen - not unlike another fairly popular Game Boy title.

The pair blocks (labelled 'friends' in the game) can only be cleared by slotting star blocks between them.

Beyond the standard Round Clear mode, you will be able to tackle a Time Attack mode and test your stamina in the endless Challenge mode.

I've got rhythm

This week's eShop update also includes four brand-new songs for rhythm-action title Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: 'The Sanctuary of Zi'Tah (FF11)', 'Otherworld (FF10)', 'Force Your Way (FF8)', and 'The Decisive Battle (FF5)'.

You can download each song from the eShop this Thursday for 90p / €1.

Meanwhile, if you fancy playing a classic Kirby game which doesn't involve platforms on your 3DS, you will be able to purchase Kirby's Star Stacker for £2.70 / €3.00 later this week.
