Dust 514 Neocom companion app heading to PS Vita

CCP's upcoming free-to-play multiplayer shooter Dust 514 is set to get its own Vita companion app in the form of Dust 514 Neocom, which will let you tinker with your mercenaries while you're out and about.

While it won't feature any actual gameplay, the app lets you customise the loadout of your characters, as well as buy items from the in-game shop and explore the galaxy in which Dust 514 takes place.

CCP has also hinted that in the future the app will let you play with the infrastructure of planets that your corporation is in control of.

Because special deals and sales occur on a regular basis in the Dust 514 shop, Dust 514 Neocom means you don't have to be tied to your PS3 to make sure you snap up the best armour and equipment when it's going cheap.

There'll also be community features built into the app, letting you stay in contact with your in-game corporation when you're on the bus or in the park.

So, if you're a tinkerer with a love for squad-based shooters that exist in the same universe as spaceship-focused MMOs, keep an eye out for the Dust 514 Neocom companion app in the not-too-distant future.
