Learn With Pokemon: Typing Adventure is on its way to Europe

If infamous adventurer Bear Grylls has taught us one thing, it's that the art of typing will keep you alive in almost any situation. Okay, it won't, but it's still a pretty essential skill.

If you need to brush up on your typing technique a little, there's probably no better way than to play Learn With Pokemon: Typing Adventure, which is due to hit store shelves for the Nintendo DS on September 21st.

The game, which comes bundled with a Nintendo Wireless Keyboard and a stand for your portable console, will task you with researching over 400 cute and cuddly critters that can be captured by successfully typing their name.

As you play through all 60 levels en route to unlocking 180 different medals, you'll - theoretically, at least - improve your typing speed and accuracy.

Play it in style

And on the subject of Raichu and Sandshrew, Japan-based Pokemon collectors will soon be able to play their favourite Pokemon titles in style, thanks to a new Pikachu-themed yellow 3DS XL console that's due to go on sale on September 15th.

Said console will be available for ¥18,900 (around £151 / $238) to anyone who pre-orders it from one of the Pokemon Center stores in Sapporo, Tohoku, Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, Osaka, or Fukuoka.

Pre-orders can be placed from August 25th.
