Sound Shapes and Alundra land on the European PlayStation Store
One for Vita, one for PSP
With all the PS Vita news pouring out of Gamescom, it would be easy to overlook two new additions to the EU PlayStation Store. Not that easy, mind.
In the latest update to the EU PlayStation Store, both the Pocket Gamer Bronze Award-winning Sound Shapes and the critically acclaimed PSone action-RPG Alundra have been added to the software library.
Combining elements of rhythm games with platform adventures, Sound Shapes compensates for the blobby nature of its protagonist through its novel approach of having players dictate the soundtrack by grabbing coins to generate notes.
Its level builder is also worth a mention, especially when it allows players to pull in music and artwork from artists like Beck.
Enter, AlundraMeanwhile, the PSone classic Alundra is finally available to download from the EU PlayStation Store, a full two years after it was released in North America.
In Alundra, you take control of the eponymous boy, who discovers that he has the power to enter people's dreams. In this nocturnal dream world, he uses his rare powers to battle a demon which threatens the world.
Because Alundra is a PSone classic, it will not be playable on PS Vitas until August 28th, when Sony will - finally - deliver PSone support to the Vita.
