It looks like the developer behind the Silver Award-winning League of Evil 2 hasn't just been resting on its laurels of late, for its newest title, Random Heroes, is live on the New Zealand App Store right now.

Random Heroes promises exciting action gameplay crossed with platforming elements. And judging by the screenshots and trailer (posted below), it delivers on both counts. Oh, and don't even get me started on that gorgeous pixel-art style.

In Random Heroes, you have over 15 different characters from which to choose and ten different weapons with which to equip them all. Considering there are more than 30 levels available, too, Random Heroes isn't one you're likely to complete in an afternoon.

Random Heroes is out now on the New Zealand App Store, and will go live around the world later tonight. It's a Universal app, priced at 69p / 99c
