Tactical soccer sim Fluid Football may have missed its June kick-off date, but that doesn't mean its been relegated from the App Store altogether.

It turns out that Fluid Football dev Chromativity was giving the game a virtual calf massage (and probably using some of that magic cure-all spray) in preparation for its rescheduled iPhone and iPad debut - which just happens to be this Thursday.

With expert input and analysis from professional footy pundits Andy Gray and Richard Keys, the Fluid Football team has created a line-drawing footy game based around strategy and forward thinking.

Instead of taking direct control over a single footballer, you swipe your finger to draw out the movements and runs you want your players to execute. Then, you sit back and watch as your commands play out.

If you can't wait till Thursday to see Fluid Football in action, you can watch Gray and Keys putting the game through its paces in the video below.
