Avid Jet Set Radio fans waiting for the Vita version of the upcoming HD remake will need to sit tight a bit longer. The remake, entitled Jet Set Radio HD, will be leaping onto Sony's latest handheld on October 16th.

This cult rollerblading game, hailed for its visually striking art style and incredible soundtrack when it debuted on Dreamcast, will be available on PS3 to PlayStation Plus users on September 11th, then to non-Plus members a week later. PC and Xbox gamers will be able to get their hands on it the following day.

In Sega's blog post on the Jet Set Radio HD release dates, the firm doesn't disclose the reason for the one-month gap between the PS3 and Vita launches. It also fails to mention anything about the iOS and Android versions of the remake.

Jet Set Radio HD for Vita will retail for £6.99 / $9.99 when it touches down on October 16th.
