Rumour: iPhone 5,2 prototype device shows up in server log
|

According to TechCrunch, a "reliable source" has just crawled out of the woodwork with a screenshot that purports to show the presence of Apple's next-generation iPhone in its server logs.

The tech website was unable to glean any additional information from the sole session that the iPhone 5,2 was engaged in, except for its naming convention, which falls in line with previous reports.

Naturally, it's unknown whether the iPhone 5,2 will actually be produced for retail or simply be used as an internal testing device like the iPhone 5,1.

This rumour comes just a few day after sources close to website iMore claimed that Apple will unveil the next-gen iPhone at a special event on September 12th.
