Those of you who purchased the Android version of Dead Trigger before the game became a free-to-play experiece will receive a special reward in the game's next update.

Developer Madfinger caused a minor controversy last week when it decided to stop charging players for downloading the zombie FPS, a move which upset customers who had forked out a dollar for the game only days prior.

However, after last week's crash-fixing update landed, a message appeared in the news section of Dead Trigger's mission Hub. The message (pictured below) reads:

"Here is good news for everybody who bought Dead Trigger. Wait for the next update, you will be rewarded! Wondering with what? We will keep it a secret for now..."

Rewarding experience

Though Madfinger hasn't revealed what the reward will be, it looks like the dev is offering an olive branch to fans who felt cheated by the sudden price drop, something the company claims was a response to "unbelievably high" rates of piracy.

We will update you as soon as we know what paying Dead Trigger customers will be rewarded with. We hope it's gold. Or guns. Or a golden gun.
