It's the mutt's guts

Throw a dead dog by his ectoplasmic entrails in ParaNorman: 2-Bit Bub

Spooky movie tie-in ParaNorman: 2-Bit Bub has just materialised on the App Store.

Based on upcoming film ParaNorman from stop motion maestro Laika (of Coraline fame), this visually arresting physics-puzzler puts you in charge of Bub, a ghostly canine whose life ended when he was run over by an animal rescue truck.

The accident may have left Bub's body in two halves, but that doesn't stop this deathly doggy from getting around. You must utilise Bub's bisected form to slingshot the mutt between orbs and towards a bone, collecting stars along the way.

Play dead

Initial impressions are good, thanks in no small part to the hugely impressive visuals, which remain faithful to the art design of the movie.

Incidently, those who like games with some serious pedigree might be interested to know that Quake III designer Graeme Devine had a hand in ParaNorman: 2-Bit Bub's development. So, you know, expect gibs.

iPhone and iPad owners can fetch ParaNorman: 2-Bit Bub from the App Store free of charge right now.
