Space Pombo! takes its inspiration from the Puzzle League series, and asks you to line up at least three of the same coloured blocks (or in this case, unblinking and creepily happy space creatures) vertically, horizontally, or diagonally.

You have to plan ahead and set up combos to clear large swathes of the screen, and you can even play other people online via the game's multiplayer mode.

Completing today's far-too-cute free games round-up is Pinch Peeps, which sees you pairing up as many blobs of the same colour in quick succession as you can.

You do this by making pinching gestures on your touchscreen. The game boast two modes (Timed and Endless), as well as Game Center leaderboards.
