If you've ever wished you could take Nintendo's 3D Zelda series, turn it into a massively multiplayer experience, and make it playable on your phone or tablet, then you're in luck.

At least, that's what Pangalore would have you believe with the announcement of Knightly Adventure.

According to the developer's website, its new game "combines the addictive elements of social games with dynamic Nintendo-like action adventure." Now, there's a claim.

Realm of fantasy

Knightly Adventure transports you to a classic fantasy world in which you can craft your own kingdom, take on heroic quests, and indulge in plenty of medieval fisticuffs.

There's a hefty social element, with trading and questing all possible between real living people (or rather their pixie-eared avatars). It's a freemium game, so while entry to this world will cost you nothing, you can expect to pay bits and bobs here and there to gain access to the really cool stuff.

Arguably the biggest selling point of Knightly Adventure, though, is that it can be played across a variety of devices. What's more, the game will carefully track your progress, so you could potentially start a game on your laptop (through Facebook) in the morning, continue it on your iPhone or Android phone on the train, and finish up on your iPad when you flop onto the couch in the evening.

Gaming that's uninterrupted by the logistics of real life - now, we're living the dream.

Knightly Adventure is set to launch in August.
