We're eagerly awaiting the public launch of the PS Vita's RemotePlay functionality, which will let users play PlayStation 3 games on the small screen.

The capabilities of the software can be broadened to include non-PS3 games as well, it seems. A user of the SDK beta has managed to get PC and console favourite Skyrim running on the Vita, and at a pretty good frame-rate too.

The video utilises the RemotePlay SDK and client, which are not currently available to the public, and manages to run the processor-heavy RPG at around 25 frames-per-second.

It's notable that the controls don't appear to work very swimmingly, with the melee command on the touchscreen causing the camera to wheel uncontrollably.

Still, it's a very intriguing development for the handheld.
