Street Fighter X Tekken smashing onto PS Vita with AR features and PS3 data sharing

Capcom has confirmed that beat-'em-up crossover Street Fighter X Tekken (SFXT) will be duking its way onto PS Vita this October.

In addition to the 12 exclusive characters we highlighted back in June, Vita owners will be getting a number of other features unique to SFXT to explore.

For starters, you will be able to use the Vita's augmented reality capabilities to capture stills of fighters, and superimpose them onto actual photos.

The handheld's Near technology will also allow you to share user-generated costumes with other Vita owners in the vicinity and collect costumes from them, too.

Speaking of clobber, every SFXT game will come with a code that unlocks 38 alternative costumes. Those who pre-order the title will receive an additional 12 costumes for the Vita-exclusive characters.

Thankfully, data sharing between PS3 and Vita is also supported, meaning that any DLC purchased on one console will be playable on the other. And, yes, this cross-compatibility also applies to save data.

Street Fighter X Tekken will be released in North America on October 23rd.
