Apple is yet to officially debunk rumours that suggest a 7-inch iPad mini is on the way to market, which - unfortunately - means we have some brand-new tittle-tattle to share with you today.

According to GottaBeMobile, the images you can see below this article show "engineering samples" of the heavily rumoured iPad mini, as well as the even more heavily rumoured iPhone 5.

These images have apparently - as always - been passed onto the website by a "trusted" source from within the Apple supply chain.

The purported iPhone 5 measures around 12cm in length and around 6cm wide, which jibes with recent mumblings that the new device will pack a 4-inch screen.

Assuming these parts aren't as fake as Katie Price's pneumatic chest, we'll also be seeing a re-positioned camera (in the centre at the top of the phone) and a unibody chassis in Apple's next-generation smartphone.

The iPad mini, on the other hand, looks to be considerably thinner than "the new iPad". The images suggest that the smaller tablet will feature a smaller dock connector and re-positioned speakers.
