Kickstarter campaign for Android 4.0-powered Ouya TV console gets fully funded
We call that a success
Boy, that was quick!
The Kickstarter campaign that we told you about just yesterday has been fully funded, which means that the interesting-looking $99 Android-powered Ouya TV console is one step closer to being an actual thing.
In fact, the forthcoming console has (at the time of writing) attracted donations totalling $2,298,751, which is a darn sight more than the $950,000 the console's manufacturer was seeking.
In case you didn't catch yesterday's coverage of Ouya, this Android console will house a Tegra 3 quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal flash storage, HDMI outputs, wi-fi, Bluetooth, and USB 2.0.
Ouya is also a dev kit, meaning developers can easily create games for it. Or simply port existing Google Play titles to the platform.
