Rovio has confirmed that the three original Angry Birds games (Angry Birds, Angry Birds Rio, and Angry Birds Seasons) will be heading to the 3DS and home consoles this winter (or 'holiday season', if you really must mess around with season names).

All three of the games in this Angry Birds Trilogy collection will benefit from new "cinematics", HD graphics (for the home consoles, that is), and lots of graphical tweaks (likely also home consoles only).

Alas, the pack doesn't contain Angry Birds Space, the most recent entry in the series, which is a bit of a shame. It does come with individual leaderboards for each level, though.

Angry Birds is out now on everything (apart from the PS Vita and 3DS).
