Rovio has been posting some revealing images on Twitter to stoke the fires of anticipation for its upcoming physics-puzzler Amazing Alex.

The pics show some of the items that protagonist Alex will be creatively combining to build elaborate puzzle-solving Rube Goldberg-esque contraptions.

The most recent image, tweeted earlier today, shows a falling ball landing on a remote control and activating a flame-streaked RC truck. This would make for an ideal link in one of Alex's cause-and-effect creations.

Some more of the in total 35 interactive items / objects featured in the game Rovio has revealed over the past three days include a balloon, a dart, a pair of scissors, a magnet, and a paper plane.

One particularly expressive picture shows a billiard ball triggering an extendable boxing glove, which is smashing into a green piggy bank. They may have moved on from Angry Birds, but Rovio's game designers are still finding creative ways to stick it to those thieving swine.

If you want a small taste of what to expect from Amazing Alex, by the way, we recommend you check out the teaser trailer.

Amazing Alex will debut on iOS and Android later this month, with a "Windows" release to follow shortly after.
