Asphalt 7: Heat burning up the App Store tomorrow for 69p/99c
Out of the Gameloft kitchen
The seventh game in Gameloft's arcade street racer series Asphalt has nitro-boosted onto the New Zealand App Store, meaning it'll be screeching into the UK and US from midnight tonight.
Asphalt 7: Heat features 60 fully licensed supercars, including Ferraris, Aston Martins, and - er - a DeLorean; 15 exotic locales to race in; and a "revamped" online multiplayer mode for up to six players.
This multiplayer mode now includes an Autolog-style tracking system, which sees you pitted against your friends' results on each of the career mode's levels, as well as a matchmaking system so you don't end up racing the best in the world every time you play.
Asphalt 7: Heat's immediate predecessor managed to snag a Pocket Gamer Silver Award on release, and judging by our E3 hands-on it looks like this new one is unlikely to drop too much momentum.
We'll find out for sure whether it has enough to take pole position in a few hours. Asphalt 7: Heat will accelerate onto the UK and US App Stores at around midnight tonight, priced 69p / 99c.
