Wearable gaming peripheral designed for touch-enabled devices appears on Kickstarter

Many people, myself included, love play games on touchscreen devices like the iPhone and iPad. Others, however, blame the rise of touch-enabled devices for the downfall of modern-day society, the impending end of the world, and much more.

If you fall into the latter category (or, even if you don't), you should check out the new "next-generation" gaming peripheral that's recent popped up on Kickstarter. As you can see from the image in or gallery to the right, it's a wearable ring that allows you to easily pull off multiple simultaneous actions, such as moving and shooting.

The ring, which is available in multiple colours if you pledge more than $55 to the cause, features Bluetooth support, a D-pad that can move in 9 directions, and five hours of battery life. You charge it via a micro-USB cable, by the way.

If you pledge at least $35 you'll also receive a special game package, which contains a number of titles designed especially to take advantage of the peripheral. Check out the concept video below this article if you're still reluctant to drop some cash.
