Mid-week iOS releases: Mutant Storm, Suspect in Sight, Pocket Planes, Temple Run: Brave, and more

Welcome back to Pocket Gamer's round-up of the latest iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad mid-week releases.

As you all probably know by now, we produce this article each week because we're simply too busy to bring you a story on every single new game that hits the App Store.

These games have recently hit Apple's New Zealand outlet, meaning they should be available to download in the UK and US from around midnight this evening.

Mutant Storm

Xbox Live Arcade title Mutant Storm, which is now available for the iPad, is a fast-paced psychedelic shooter that plays out over 89 levels.

As you progress through this game, you earn score multipliers, but also make your enemies even angrier and more determined to kill you.

Suspect in Sight

In Suspect in Sight, you take on the role of a badass cop called Rob, who flies his helicopter around three different cities - Miami, New York, and Los Angeles - in search of unscrupulous perps.

This title is packed with a number of mod-cons, including support for the Retina display on Apple's latest iPad iteration, iCloud functionality, and AirPlay capabilities.

Pocket Planes

Pocket Planes, from the creator of Tiny Tower, tasks you with creating, managing, and growing your very own fleet of planes in order to ferry passengers to and from 250 different cities.

You can customise your planes and their staffers using paint jobs and uniforms, and trade plane parts with your buddies.

Taking on the role of a fierce and vengeful deity, your aim in this title is to hurl bolts of holy lightning, summon earthquakes,unleash floods, and ultimately prevent irreverent Humans from constructing the tower of Babel.

This title features a single-player campaign spread over 15 missions, and a Survival mode for extended play.

This title lets you take on the role of WOPR - the iconic computer from the 1983 movie WarGames - as you wage intense battles of Global Thermonuclear War.

Gameplay-wise, you have to string together chains of four unique tiles in order to gain bonuses and damage your opponent, while trying to eradicate your foe's tiles before they can do the same.

Human Defense is a disease-filled tower defence title that charges you with defending the heart, muscles, lungs, kidneys, and more against pesky viruses.

Besides four powerful towers - all of which feature unique abilities - to defend yourself with, you can direct the flow of blood around the body you're defending to disperse the attacking pathogens and keep them away from your vital organs.

Temple Run: Brave isn't another of the App Store's infamous clones. Instead, it's an official app from both Imangi Studios and Disney.

You take control of protagonist Merida as you run, jump and slide your way across Scotland and over and under obstacles. This time around, there are also targets to think about, which you can shoot by tapping on them.

Eager Beaver

This puzzler tasks you with stacking items on top of each other in order to construct dams and prevent water from destroying your home.

Along the way, you have to contend with contend with furious rapids, pesky fish, and awkwardly shaped blocks, which you'll have to stack perfectly if you wish to progress.

Disco Kitten

In this title, you play as Punka - a robo-kitten who's job it is to collect energy from canisters and feed a giant hungry head. Yeah, strange.
