Rockstar has finally put Android users out of their misery. No, not by shooting them, but instead revealing that Max Payne Mobile will be flying onto Google Play (in slow motion, naturally) on June 14th.

While the iOS crowd has been merrily diving through plate glass windows and perforating fools in bullet-time for the better part of two months, Android fans have had to throw on a trenchcoat, grab a bottle of bourbon, and complain to themselves in a downbeat monotone voice to get their Max Payne fix.

Thankfully, this grim roleplay can be put to be bed once and for all, as Payne will make his Android debut in less than three days, complete with HD visuals, customisable controls, and Social Club support.

We have to warn you that our reviewer took issue with the iOS conversion of the 1999 PC classic, citing control issues as a major bugbear, but we'll have to wait to find out how Payne handles on a Google-powered device.

Max Payne Mobile will land on Google Play this Thursday, June 14th, priced at $2.99 (UK price TBC).
