There's some slicing action going down on the Nintendo 3DS this week. No, it's not Fruit Ninja - from Thursday, you'll be able to download Samurai Sword Destiny from the eShop.

The game follows Akane, a female samurai who is on a quest to find her missing brother and bring him home. Unfortunately, there are numerous ninjas standing in her way.

It's a button-basher with upgrades a-plenty, which you'll definitely need if you're going to survive the hordes. The game has a rather interesting comic-book style, with combos that reach into the dozens.

The game will set you back £5.40 if you decide to grab it, although we'd wait for our review - we've heard it's not the most incredible release for the 3DS to date.
