Rumour: Unibody iPhone 5 design confirmed in in-depth video
|

An all-new video has surfaced in the magical land of the interwebs that shows (in detail) the purported unibody backplate of Apple's next-gen iPhone, which we presume will be called the iPhone 5.

Now, we normally take things like this with a whole lake of salt, but the contents of the video seem semi-plausible.

In the video, which compares the new backplate side by side to the chassis and back glass of the current iPhone 4S, the unibody plate is clearly much thinner than its predecessor. In fact, it looks thinner than the metal antenna section found on the iPhone 4 and 4S.

The new part is also taller than its predecessor.

Suits you, sir

As you can also see in the video, which you can watch below this article, the purported iPhone 5 part features a smaller SIM card tray, and a "mini dock" - both of which have been rumoured in the past.

Check out the video and let us know what you think in the comments section below.
