Nintendo is looking to draw public interest to the 3DS and 3D photography in general with Another Dimension in a series of special photography events culminating in an interactive gallery exhibition.

Taking place in June, Another Dimension will consist of four, free photography field trips open to the public hosted by a range of high-profile names including Bill Oddie and members of the Irish girl group The Saturdays.

Another Dimension is part of a broader Europe-wide 3D photography competition.

To sign up, interested parties need only drop an email to [email protected] to take part in a field trip. Confirmed field trips and dates are as follows:

  • 1 June: Dress up with The Saturdays (secret location)
  • 13 June: Walk with dinosaurs with Rick Edwards (Bristol Zoo)
  • 14 June: Street Art walk with Pure Evil (East London)
  • 15 June: A trip to the zoo with Bill Oddie (Battersea Park Zoo)

Pictures taken during these field trips will be displayed an interactive gallery exhibition designed by acclaimed artist Graham Hudson.

In addition to the celebrity presence, a member of the Royal Photographic Society will be on hand at each event to provide tutorials on how to take top-quality 3D pictures with a 3DS.

All 3D photos have to be submitted by 17 June.
