The third and final game of the original Apple II The Bard's Tale trilogy has been added to the Pocket Gamer Silver Award-winning iOS title The Bard's Tale.

The Bard's Tale 3 is available as a free download from within the iOS app, and sees you once again journey forth with a band of adventurers into a lot of tough combat.

Those that found the first two games practically impenetrable will be glad to know that the third entry is considered the least vicious of the three.

Sing along

Additionally, the game has been updated to allow character transfers between the first two games of the original trilogy (also available as free downloads from the main menu).

Furthermore, the dev has made some improvements to the main game (which is based on the 2004 PS2 version of The Bard's Tale) - you can now progress past the initial stat limit of 20, for example.

To celebrate this update, the game has had its price cut down to £1.99 / $2.99, which isn't bad at all given that the main Bard's Tale adventure on its own should take a good 20 hours or so to complete.

If you're in the mood for either retro- or action-comedy, you can download The Bard's Tale as a Universal app by hitting the button below.
