Well, that didn't take long.
Seems the mysterious Angry Birds Friends is, in fact, a combination of extra levels for the Facebook version of the game and a weekly leaderboard for you to compete against your mates.
These weekly tournaments allow you to earn power-ups for your results, meaning the better you play, the greater the reward.
Of most interest to Angry Birds fans, however, is the confirmation that new levels will be added to the game every week. Yes, every week.
Every week.
